Ramdoss Sir and family came to Hyderabad all the way from Chennai on Saturday in the morning (21st of April 2012). They stated at Chennai a day before at 08PM. In fact they planned to start a bit early but as Bala had to complete some of the mandatory tasks at his college, which made them start by 08 PM
Al l the night I could not sleep properly because of 2 reasons, one-I got excited two-I was worried about their journey. Because it is almost 12-13 hours of journey by car from Chennai to Hyderabad.
In the morning I picked them up from Uppal ring road as the initial plan to reach Bachupally failed due to the electric works (Cable Erection) that are being run on the outer ring road.
I am too happy for them as they came all the way from Chennai just to spend some quality time with Siddhi, which made me very happy.
In fact from the time Sir called me up and said that they are planning for a family trip to Hyderabad, we are all waiting for this weekend (21st and 22nd) like anything.
We were all worried about Sid on how he would react when he sees them but the moment they were here, he broke all our worries to the pieces… He was as good as he was a year ago when he was at Chennai.
On the same day, I booked Innova for city trip for us… I know they were a bit tired after the hectic journey but were ready to have a ride into the city.
Had been to Paradise, hitec city for lunch as they wanted to have the taste of typical Andhra…As Hyderabad is famous for biryani and that too Paradise is known for its famous biryani, I felt this would be the right place to go to.
The taste was liked by all, especially the tender chicken that was part of the Biryani was liked by all, and however, the quality of the rice was not that great.
From there we hit the Outer Ring Road to go to Golconda fort. Unlike what I thought, it is closer to my home. With the help of the guide over there, we could explore the secrets of the fort. Bala and I were busy taking the photos of Sid and the fort.
Sid was so active and was climbing the high inclined stairs with no efforts. He never troubled us while climbing the rocky stairs. I was tired a bit after having climbed some steps but Sid looked active…
As the stairs looked to end at no point, we thought it’s enough and came down.
From there we had been to Charminar. By the time we reached Charminar, the time was 06 PM and we didn’t know that to get to the first floor / level of it the entry closes by 05:30 PM. We were a bit disappointed but that was okay for all of us.
Sid slept off after we started from Golconda and woke up when we reached Charminar. We wanted him to identify the monument. We woke him up and asked him the name of the structure in front of him. He got confused at the first instance however when we told him “Charminar” looked like he could map it with the images he saw.
We had a paid photo session with a local photographer. I had problem of having zoom lens and was not able to cover the structure entirely with the range we were in.
But Bala could cover most of the wide-angle feature of his digital camera.
Rupu did some shopping at those gold-glittered shops so as Madam and Bharathi. In the meantime, I spend the time on my photo shooting.
From here around 07:15 PM we started to Birla Temple. It took almost an hour for us to have darshan of Lord Balaji. The view from the top of the temple to the city was really awesome.
We skipped some of the places like neckles road and tank bund because we were all tired and don’t have any patience to go through. Also, coming to home can give some time for them to play with Sid.
22nd April 2012
We planned to visit Ramoji film city; Started from home by 11 AM. We took the ORR but failed to continue on it because of the heavy electric cable erection work is in progress… We took the help of GPS on Sir’s mobile to reach the place. Though it was a bit uncomfortable for all of us travelling in the small car all the way from Bachupally to Ramoji Film city covering almost 60KM, we enjoyed travelling together.
We had lunch as the first thing inside the film city. Took our own time to go through each and every attraction over there… Some of the attractions we enjoyed a lot were the “Stunt Show”, “Action”, ”World Tour”.
The stunt show demonstrated how the action scenes in the film are shot… enjoyed the no-dupe action sequences.
The action show demonstrated the struggle of the heroes behind the scenes in making a film. The most attractive thing in this show is the way the presenter handled the crowd and presented the things he wanted to present.
The Summer Carnival was not that great in the Alampana hall.
The fun was more when Bala and Bharathi went on a ride which looks soooo scary for me. They in fact wanted to pull me inside but somehow Rupu saved me... Thank GOD… I could imagine myself being in the ride, how horrible it could have been.
We took the local ride inside the film city… Visited so many places, gardens, sets that were used in many films…to the end of the trip, there came a heavy rain from nowhere with no clue, which had put a full stop to our trip to film city.
23rd April 2012
The next day we spent most of the time at the car repairing center, Had Biryani from “Green Bawarchi, KPHB”, which we enjoyed a lot… started from home by 05PM but had to spend time until 07PM at Kiran car care.
From there we had been to SS Wheel point, Miyapur for wheel balancing and dropped them at Heritage super market, Kondapur, near Gachibowli Ring Road, from where they started to Chennai…
The Bye Byes were emotional for us but Sid was enjoying the chips in the meantime…
The next day (24th April 2012) they reached Chennai around 09AM but looks like there was a minor disturbance on their way to Chennai as they could met a heavy rock on the road that had altered the shape of front wheel’s rim….
Over all, that was a fun-trip for all of them and for us, we felt a family when Sir and family were here.
I should thank each and every one for the kind of love they have for Sid and for us… THANK YOU SIR.
