Sid made us PROUD

A couple of weeks back, we recieved Sid's progress report. The management of the play school called up parents meeting. When we both were there, the teachers and some of the parents were present. It was one-on-one meerting with the parents just to let the parents know what's going on with the kid's development. Also this is the chance for the parents to know the behavior of the kids and how good the kid is doing with socialization.

When we were there in a room with a couple of Sid's teachers, it was all praises for Sid. They never said any complaints through out the meeting, which lasted for about half-an-hour.

It seems that Sid has been the most favourite student of all the teachers. Especially with the Janmastami, Sid became even more favourite for all. he was so cute in Krishna's getup.

On the behavior part too Sid was the favourite for all.

The main and most important part is that Sid scored top in all the exams he had a couple of weeks ago. We had so many nice comments for Sid for his ability of learning ability but I know the efforts of Rupu behind all this. At the same time, let's not forget the efforts of the teachers at the play school. As we were hearing good things about Sid, we were really PROUD PARENTS and were really on top of the world.

The only point Sid needs to improve on as per the teachers is that he needs to improve on his dancing skills.
They wanted to have Sid performing on their school anniversary, which will be in the month of Feb, next year.

Here I present the progress report of Sid.

Sid has his love for his friend toys...

He brought the cat and Stumpy (Elephant) into the hall and sat in his chair and asking his mom "mamma, memu kurchunnamu, photo thee" (Mom we are sitting, take the photo). Here are the pics, which Rupu took for him. They look really fine.

Enjoy the cute expressions / the affection of Sid when he was taking care of his little friends.

Solar System is into the KB of Sid already

Sid has the Solar system in his KB.already. He knows not only all the planet names but in sequence.
I feel this is one of the greatest achievements.

Here is the series of the snaps that I took while he was saying the planet names on 22 / 09 / 2011 (Thursday) in the night just before he was going to bed.

What an Imagination?

On the last Sunday (18th) in the morning, when I came from Gym, Sid was seen stiing in the bean bag with the news paper in his hand. Rupu wanted me to ask about a particular photo to Sid and I asked to Sid to tell me something about a photo which Sid was taking a look at.

Here is the photo and here is what he said to me...

“Pappa, Ganapathi Bappa is a boy and his mother is the one who is standing next to Ganapathi Bappa” (over here in this pic, it is Sonia Gandhi) and his father is the one who is standing to the other side of him (here in this pic, it is Rajinikanth)” and pointing to a old man in the pic, he said it is his grandfather (in fact it is Anna Hazare”.
But normally that is how family is seen in the photos right? We were happy to see the imagination levels of Sid but at the same time could not resist from laughing imagining such a unbelievable family if it were to exist.

A Disappointing Circus for Sid

We had been to Circus on Friday (16th) in the evening which is happening in the ground where Rupu used to practice car driving (The ground is located exactly 5 min. drive away from Satyam Heights).
Since the moment the advertise we heard of Saibaba Circus, Rupu planned to go to the show on the very first day. She was saying to Sid that there would be many Lions, Tigers, Elephants, Dogs and Parrots in the show. We were excited to show all of them to Sid… Sid too was really excited to see all of the wild animals.
I was imagining Sid after seeing it all… He called me in the evening when I was in the office and asking me to come home soon so we can go to circus without fail on time.
We reached the place well in time 07:15PM.
To what we were imagining, to the quality of the shows there was a real big gap. The shows were of poor quality and the only animals we saw were dogs, goat and a baby horse (foal). Sid eventually felt board after a while and wanted to go out…It was all disappointed for all of us and especially for Sid.
During the show, the foal fell down as part of the show… we were sitting in the very front row. Sid saw this and even now, he was telling us “

Rupu is suffering from an ankle pain

As Rupu sufferred a pain in her ankle along side a swelling, we had been to doctor late night by 10:30 after we came from Rupu's friend's home at Lingampally on Saturday.

The doctor as soon as he saw the leg, he advised for a small surgery to her as he felt it was due to an infection. We thought we will go for it on the same time if he is okay. Rupu went though a small (minor) surgery in the same night.

We were there with Rupu while the surgery was on going. Sid was playing and was Saying to Rupu "Mamma, Neeku Ai aindaa?? Em kaadu Bagai pothundi". We had been to home by 11:30 from the hospital.

Of course, she never expressed any pain until now to me but I can understand how the pain would be.

She needs to go to dressing for the next few days and on medication for a few days.

We had been to visit TV9 eco friendly Ganapthi, which was located on the banks of Durgan Cheruvu, just behind inorbit mall at hitec city straight after we gave send-off to our Ganapathi.

This Ganapthi is of 55 feet height and made of all eco friendly components like the clay brought from the river of Gangas, natural colors.

A warm farewell to Ganapathi

The 10th day since Ganesh Chathurthi (Saturday) we decided to do Nimarjan of Ganapathi. We all really felt sad to send Ganapathi. We felt as if one of my family members is leaving us. But we were in a way happy because Ganapathi is leaving us but going to go to his mom.(Ganga is also mother to Ganapthi).

This is what we told Siddhi... Sid was saying "Ganapathi bappa is going to his mom" since morning. He gave a kiss to Ganapathi. We performed pooja before we took Ganapathi to a lake near by my apartments at Nizampet. There were nobody by the time we reached at the lake. As I was dropping Ganapathi into the lake, somehow we were not happy, gave him a warm farewell.

Sid even now says, Pappa dropped Ganapathi bappa in the water.... and after an hour to that, when we were visiting TV9 eco friendly Ganapathi, it was hurting when Rupu was asking me "By this time our Ganapthi would have melted right?"

Somehow we loved our Ganapathi a lot.

Here are some of the pics. I took on that day.
