Sid made my life: Sid Celebrates his 3rd birthday in Chennai

We reached Chennai by bus though we planned for a long drive in my i10 with Senthil and his family. We had to opt for bus because Senthil opted himself out of his trip to Chennai due to his health problems.

It was a real horrible bus journey (one of the horrible journeys of mine) as I was throwing up like anything from 12:30 in the night until around 03AM. I was sitting next to driver just to get the nausea feelings out of my mind.

The day we reached Chennai, we had been to Besent nagar beach in the evening with all the family members except for Bharathi, who had exams the next day. Sid unlike the last time, he started to enjoy in fact enjoyed a lot seeing the sea water coming to the shore, touching his feet and going back to gain the strength to come back again…. He wanted to play with the sea water more time and in fact I had to pull him out of the game.

He says, Ravan kidnapped Sita and kept on the other side of the sea. On the other side of the sea is Lanka. By seeing the flights in the sky, he says, they are Ravan’s flights. He used these flights to take Sita to Lanka. Also he said that Hanuman and other monkeys build a bridge to reach Lanka, a small squirrel that looks like the logo on his t-shirt helped them as well. Sriram killed Ravan by striking an arrow into the tummy.

On the way back, we ordered the birthday cake for Siddhi. In fact we got the cake shop number from just dial, Chennai. Myself and Bala had been there to see the pics of the last delivered cakes. We wanted to have Ben10 cake as we promised to Sid. But the next day, when the cake got delivered, they delivered a cake that has a funny character but not Ben 10. In fact we all got upset, especially Sid.

The attendees include all the family members of Sir, Hari and Sunil and family. Cute little Poppu joined the celebrations as well. It was fun all around while Sid celebrated his birthday.

It was fun when Sid after he did cut the cake, started grabbing the cake by hand and not caring to see anyone. Also it was fun when he was going to all at the stroke of 12 on 12^th, and asking them to wish him.

He never was willing to talk to anyone over the phone on his birthday. We had real tough time making him respond to the wishes on his birthday.

We had been to Anjaneya temple at Nanganallur on Sid’s birthday and met the doctor madam on 13^th (the next day to Sid’s birthday).

Finally, we all felt as if we came to my hometown after meeting all at Chennai.

Hari tried to meet us before our train could start from Egmore railway station but could not because of the heavy traffic around that area. 13^th we started from Chennai and 14^th early hours we were in Hyderabad.
